SALVATION
To be saved is to be made whole by surrendering all you are to God, His plan and His calling for your life. It is a laying down of your own desires and past life and turning to Jesus in order to to receive His forgiveness from your sins and for Him to give you a new life in Him.

Romans 10:9 - “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
BAPTISM
Getting water baptized is your pubic expression of the life change that has happened internally when you made the decision to follow Jesus. By being lowered and risen from the water, it symbolizes Jesus being lowered into the grave and rising again, leaving the sin of the world as a new creation. Through water baptism, it is an expression of the same change,, a new birth into a new life with Jesus.

Building relationships and connecting with others within the church is vital here at City Light Church. We strongly believe in doing life with one another.

Baptism is an important step of obedience that displays we have personally trusted Jesus for our salvation. Jesus was baptized when He was on earth, and we do this to follow His example. When Christians are baptized, they are submerged under water to identify with the death and burial of Jesus and raised out of the water to identify with His resurrection.
We believe that water baptism is a public declaration of three important things: you are a follower of Christ, you are beginning a changed life in Christ and you are a part of a new family!

A PLACE TO BUILD COMMUNITY
Groups gather weekly, biweekly, and monthly to connect, share a meal, dig deeper into the Word of God, pray together, and so much more. These groups focus on building relationships with each other and finding people to do life with. We believe the heart of Jesus is found in community.
